How do you test for radon?
So you tested and got your test results back...what, exactly, do they mean?
According to Health Canada, any level of radon in your home over 200 Bq/m3 requires action.
BUT, the US Environmental Protection Agency recommends action over 150 Bq/m3,
The World Health Organization recommends action over 100 Bq/m3.
The reality is, no level of radon is safe. After you decide what level you are comfortable with for you and your family you can take significant steps to reduce the level of radon in your home through mitigation.
The simplest way is to call us! Testing is something you can easily do yourself, and we can walk you through the process if you're unsure. The tester will remain in place for a minimum of 90 days to a maximum of one year and then be submitted to an independent testing laboratory for analysis. There are shorter term tests available if you are feeling anxious or in a hurry that we can also provide.
